I was born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand. Growing up between countries teaches you to look twice at the assumptions everyone else seems to inherit without question.
My working life has moved through business ownership, property, investing and wealth education. Each part taught me something different. Business taught me about creating value. Investing taught me about capital. Teaching forced me to clarify what I actually believed.
And somewhere in the building, the question changed. It became less, “How much can I build?” and increasingly, “What is worth building?”
My Christian faith sits inside that question. Not as decoration. It shapes how I think about responsibility, stewardship, generosity, identity and what we do with what has been placed in our hands.
What the work has taught me
The lessons are connected.

Business taught me that value has to be created before it can be captured. You cannot talk your way around the work.

Investing taught me to think about capital, risk and time. A good decision is not always the one that pays fastest.

Faith changed the question from what can I build to what is worth building — and what responsibility comes with it.

Teaching
Teaching forced me to make the ideas plain. If I cannot explain what I believe in ordinary language, I probably do not understand it yet.

Family and legacy changed the horizon. The work is not merely to succeed. It is to leave people stronger and build things that can continue.

Today I lead Venter Capital, with work that includes Zenith Academy in wealth education and mentoring and Apex in property. I am involved with Ariel Global Foundation, and I write and teach about wealth, faith, identity, leadership and legacy.
